Vantage Prop (“we”, “our”, or “us”) is an investment property tracking application. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal information when you use our service at vantageprop.tech.

2. Information We Collect

Account Information: Name, email address, and password when you register. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email, and profile picture from Google.

Property Data: Property addresses, purchase prices, loan details, and financial transaction data you enter into the application.

Financial Statements: PDF documents you upload or import from Gmail for automated data extraction.

Gmail Data (optional): If you connect your Gmail account, we access your emails solely to find and extract property-related financial statements. We read only the emails you authorise and do not store email content beyond what is needed for extraction.

Usage Data: Basic usage information such as pages visited and features used, for improving the service.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • To provide and operate the property tracking service
  • To extract and categorise financial data from uploaded statements
  • To send transactional emails (account verification, password reset, two-factor authentication)
  • To process subscription payments via Stripe
  • To improve the application and fix issues

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate Vantage Prop:

  • Supabase — Database hosting (Australia region). Your data is stored in Australia.
  • Vercel — Application hosting and deployment.
  • Stripe — Payment processing. We never store your credit card details.
  • Google Cloud / Gmail API — Google Sign-In and optional Gmail statement import.
  • Google Gemini AI — AI-powered extraction of financial data from PDF statements.
  • Zoho Mail — Transactional email sending.

5. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored in a PostgreSQL database hosted in Australia via Supabase. We use industry-standard security practices including HTTPS encryption, secure session management, and two-factor authentication. Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text. Payment information is handled entirely by Stripe and never stored on our servers.

6. Gmail Data Usage

When you connect your Gmail account, Vantage Prop requests read-only access to your emails solely for the purpose of finding property-related financial statements. We do not read, store, or share any other email content. You can revoke Gmail access at any time from your Google account settings or from within the application. Our use of Gmail data complies with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

7. Your Rights

  • Access: You can view all your data within the application.
  • Correction: You can update your account information at any time.
  • Deletion: You can request deletion of your account and all associated data by contacting us.
  • Portability: You can contact us to request an export of your data.

8. Cookies

We use cookies solely for authentication (session management) and security (CSRF protection). We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

9. Australian Privacy Principles

We handle personal information in accordance with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email or by displaying a notice in the application. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
